I feel alone, beaten up, tears fill my eyes, I toss and turn at night, and words can’t express the pain in my heart. I pray to you because I am desperate for assistance. I need to know that you care, that you love me.

Please, God, place good people, kind people, along my path. This is my cry to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen. I could use some help through these difficult times, and I am open to receiving help from any source that has my best interests at heart.

Some days I wake up and feel happy to be alive for a brief moment, but this is always followed by a deep guilt for having those thoughts, and I sink again. Please God, help me heal.

In Jesus’ name, I ask for your guidance in directing my path; give me faith that following your lead is always the best course of action; and may I be like the well-watered garden that thrives because its roots are firmly planted in your love.

Can you lead me to make decisions that will help me, can you guide and help me from the soles of my feet to the top of my head? Everything feels so big, so overwhelming, so insurmountable.

I ask you to guide and protect me in Jesus’ name because I can no longer pretend I can help myself alone. Please help me recognize and accept divine help when I see it today. I am exhausted, stressed, and overwhelmed, even though I have only just woken up.

Help me to not be afraid of the future, but to boldly trust that you are in control when my emotions overwhelm me and I don’t know what to say; and when I can’t speak and don’t know what to say, help me to “Be still, and know that you are God.” Be my comforter, healer, and bring me peace, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Setting aside time for God
- Pray at all times because God is always present in our lives.
- Make it a habit to say a little prayer for the day as soon as you wake up.
- Make Christian pursuits a part of your social activities.
- Spend a few minutes a day in God’s word.
- Remind yourself.
- Give thanks.

Prayer is simply talking to God, and we can do it at any time; remember, God is our loving Heavenly Father, and He wants us to come to Him and talk with Him.

Please, loving God, grant me peace of mind and calm my troubled heart. My soul is like a raging sea, and I can’t seem to find my balance, so I constantly stumble and worry. Give me the strength and clarity of mind to discover my purpose and walk the path you’ve laid out for me.
