Some Christian Atheists believe in God but not in prayer; they may claim to believe prayer works, but their actions speak for themselves; some pray infrequently, and when they do, they don’t expect anything to change; that was me for many years.

Many of us fear that we aren’t good enough, eloquent or passionate enough, so rather than trying and failing, we don’t try at all. Prayer becomes boring when it becomes an empty, meaningless ritual, but it becomes exhilarating when you remember who you’re talking to.
