Righteous Prayers Rejected
In the hands of a righteous man, prayer is a powerful thing. If a person is righteous, God will listen to a request and grant it. If we have enough faith, God will move mountains for us, James 5:16 says. We should pray with believing hearts that our prayers will be answered. Moses, David, Paul, and even Jesus had prayers that were rejected.
Jesus prayed three times for the cup to pass, Paul prayed three times for the thorn in his flesh to be removed, and Moses acknowledged three times that the Lord was angry with him. If Jesus learned obedience through suffering, we must learn obedience through suffering as well.
Prayer is a powerful tool, and we should never stop praying because it does make a difference. However, just because a prayer is righteous does not mean it will be answered. Let us continue our journey of faith, trusting that God is in charge and that everything will work out for our good.
