Waiting for God to respond to a prayer can be torturous at times; some prayers are things I can afford to wait on, while others are more urgent. Here’s what I’ve learned about how to keep moving forward while waiting for an answer.

I know how it feels to wonder if God is even listening and then be frustrated about what to do while I wait for an answer, but I’ve found that waiting to be some of the most fruitful times in my personal walk with the Lord. Don’t give up hope; there is a reason for your waiting.
Trust God’s Timing
I know I can trust God with my head, but when it comes down to putting faith and trust into practice, it can be difficult. The more I trust him, the more my actions and behaviors reflect that in my daily life.
Consider Changing What Your Are Praying For
What if we prayed for God to fulfill whatever purpose he had for us in it? What if his answer and purpose revealed his glory? Revealed hidden sin? Made us more spiritually mature? Shaped us into Christ’s likeness? Or even allowed us to share in Christ’s suffering?
I understand how discouraging and frustrating waiting can be; however, remember that you’re not alone, and that God is always at work, especially when you’re waiting. Surround yourself with the truth about who God is and how He treats His children.
