8. “I’m scared of God because of Old Testament stories.”
Prayer: God of mercy and compassion, You wrote the Old Testament as a foundation for our faith; we thank You that we also have a New Testament that demonstrates Your grace and mercy toward us; in Jesus’ name, I pray that You show my friend that under this new covenant, she will never have to fear You.
9. “I’m not good enough to be in a relationship with God.”
“This dilemma that I see in my friends is something that personally breaks my heart,” I believe many of us can relate to. You can say these prayers over your friends anywhere and at any time: in the car, before going to sleep, or even in the doctor’s waiting room.
