We can pray with gratitude for the opportunity to change our lives in rehab because alcohol and drug addiction hijacks your brain and causes all of your thoughts and behaviors to revolve around using drugs or alcohol above all else. Our daily prayers will change the way we think and feel.
Praying in Recovery
Even if you don’t believe in God, you can pray to a higher power such as the sun, the moon, the universe, mother nature, the ocean, and so on. I lay before you the memories that haunt me, anxieties that perplex me, despair that frightens me, and frustration at my inability to think clearly.
